On the edge of the third spiral arm,
there’s a blue planet.
Some carbon substrate creatures are celebrating
the again completeness of their planet’s revolution within their solar system.
They well know that
their solar system also orbits around the galaxy.
The path they missed
would never come back.
They also well know that
their galaxy is traveling into the eternal space,
while the space itself is expanding immensely.
The road they wandered,
time they traveled,
is so ephemeral.
So ephemeral that there’s no way back.
However, they sing loudly.
Their singing spreads across the immense space.
They whisper quietly.
Their whispering reverberates beyond the everlasting time.
Days they spent together were a magnificent glint.
Their dreams and craving shine as light,
that every wave and particle are slowly muttering away...
“All the stars are witnessing our existence at this moment.”
Happy New Year
